The LCHT Accessible Housing Rental Project, a year-long rehabilitation project of 20 units of fully accessible housing, was completed August 2011. The funding sources (Tax Credit, HUD 202/8, HOME), provide subsidies that allow a household with disabilities to pay rent based on their income - including deductions for medical expenses. If you have a disability and a low income, you may be eligible. Applications are free and TTH staff is available to assist you with your application. You may pick up your application at the TTH office or download it here. This application for accessible housing is different from the application process for other TTH rentals, because this project receives different funding.

That means this affordable home will bring green living to generations.

The Rhode Island Roost is a five-unit townhome development that began in 2009 and was completed in Spring 2010. These townhomes will serve as low-cost rental housing for families that are actively building their credit and/or reducing debt in preparation for purchasing a Housing Trust Home. By charging less than fair market rent and referring tenants to Housing and Credit Counseling Inc. for budget advice, TTH will offer families an opportunity to regain control of their finances and their housing options.
